Portal www.worldcamera.net allows you to travel around the world and see different interesting places without leaving your home. Online cameras that we link to are operated by different subjects – universities, government agencies, municipalities, tourist centers, companies and individual persons. For our portal we are choosing cameras with reliable source – live video or regularly renewing images. In addition to live video or current refreshed picture a representative stored image is available for each camera. This stored image you will appreciate when you try to look at camera when there is nothing to see because of it is night or fog.

You can search cameras by place name, by country or state, or by categories that camera displays.

• Online cameras (webcams, weathercamera, travelcamera, etc.) – offer live view of the given place. The image is either live video (which is demanding to the internet connection bandwidth) - this option is used where the image is rapidly changing, or sequence of pictures in jpg format which are being refreshed in seconds or minutes pace –this option is used where the image changes slowly or where insufficient camera connection bandwidth is available.

• Gallery - quality images, photo snaps taken from interesting places – listed by points or themes. The gallery provides the information about the authors – who took the photo and who provided it to our portal.

• Travel reports - it is combination of text and photos. Authors share their travel experiences of places they visited.
