Mount Fuji view from Gotemba City, from the rooftop of the Gotemba Integrated Public Office Building. Mt.Fuji (3,776 meters) is a symbol of Japan and in specific of the Japan’s prefecture Shizuoka. Mt.Fuji is of volcanic origin, last erupted in 1707–08, located on the triple junction of the tectonic plates. Mt.Fuji lies about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south-west of Tokyo.
